I am contemplating buying this bike that is posted on CL (See link below), however I was worndering if anyone on the forum could answer some questions. The guy says the motor is a 468cc BB stroker. I had the guy send me some pics of the bike and motor (he could only text them to me) and the cylinder is not a Sphynx or Puma, it looks like a standard LA sleeve BB jug. Is it possible to achieve 468cc out of one of these jugs? It is one of these deals where the guy bought the bike from the guy that had all the work done, so of course he cannot tell me the details on the motor, only what is listed which seems a little suspicious to me.

Yeah, does not seem like anything special to me.

...however, regardless of the cc's that's a sweet setup!!! I'd rather not have a 498cc or whatever that supposedly is... 330 or 350PV would be about perfect.

Yeah, the bike is sweet! I figure maybe it is a 350 PV setup with a stroker that would make it 368cc??, and the guy thought he heard 468cc.

468 would be high, but considering it doesn't have CT on the side, I'm not sure.

CT has a 410 stroker package on their website. Big HP duner style or something. Not sure the rest of the description fits how unreliable that motor was.

I talked to CT about the 410 and it is basically a drag motor and unreliable. I would think that this is not that motor...

If you have the bike in front of you, or the buyer has it and is willing to let you take the head off...measure the bore and measure the travel in the stroke. No guessing...

I'm really happy with my CT top ends, 310 and 330 - both non-PV styles.

Looks like you got it bought. Was it actually a Walsh frame too?

Yes, the guy had the entire bike wrong. The motor was the 265 motor that I have listed, not the firebreathing 468!
