I am thinking of trying some different gearing before the race season begins. So what about 14/37 gearing. Has anyone tried this setup before?

it would be slightly accelerating better then stock. i dunno what u ride but i think for motor cross thats way to low especially with 18s in the back

So what would be a better setup. I race mx and trail ride. So I need low end, but I also need some top end.

if your running 18" tires, that gearing should be fine... 14 will seem like it revs out too quick most likely

Well I am running 20's right now. So should I keep the 14 t for low end and get like a 36t rear so I can add some top end on the straights on the mx track?14/36, 15/39, 16/39............

and I run a stock front and a 37 in back with 18" holeshots. It isn't as great on top speed as stock, but not so low I have to slam through the gears though. It seems to be the perfect mix for the starting gate. I am hardly ever beaten off the line even by 265R's and raptors when starting in second gear.

15/38, 20" tires = stock
15/38, 18" tires = 10% lower*
15/37, 18" tires = 7% lower*
15/37, 20" tires = 3% higher*
16/38, 18" tires = 3% lower *
16/38, 20" tires = 7% higher*
15/39, 20" tires = 3% lower*
16/39, 20" tires = 4% higher*
16/39, 18" tires = 6% lower*
14/36, 20" tires = 1% lower*
14/36, 18" tires = 11% lower*

*= than stock

Ok thanks a lot roger. Well I think that I wind out too soon in each gear, so I was lookin for one that would let me get a little more out of each gear.
