Ok I bought a 3wheeler few months back and she been sitting due to my bike being built and my lil brother blaster . Blaster is almost complete . Waiting on the cylinder to come back from the machine shop . This kid asked me and bobizzle last weekend "are those 250r's " I said yea . He replied I never seen a 250r before in person very nice bikes . So it sparked a interest to build my 3wheeler . So this will be another build thread. It's going to take me a month or 2 to get everything. Pictures will be takin just don't know when I can get them on here. My phone won't format the pics for this site. I will only be putting the bike back to a some what stock form.

The list of parts I have :

new 86 crank
bearings & seals
complete gasket set
86 bottme end bad crank
rolling 3wheeler
gold rims original
cylinder
maybe a piston
complete fmf old school

The things I need :

clutch cable
throttle cable
front plastics if I want
rear brake pads
handle bar grips
bore & hone

I will be keeping an eye on your thread. Im a trike fan and race my ATC250R in the winter on the ice. During the summer they make me run the TRX on the flat track ovals. I wish they would just let me run the Trike. Good luck with your build.

My son and I are doing my old trike too, `85 atc250R.
Mid build I gave it to him as a graduation present, I wanted to have it finished first but everything else gets in the way.

But it lit a big fire under his butt once I gave it to him, and again when we did the motor swap on my trx250R today. Nothing like a running "bing bing bing" sound to light a fire under a kids butt lol

We are doing a full frame-up job, painted annodized red , coat after coat til it darkened up to just about "blood red" as we call it lol

I'm not going to do anything to the bike other than just put her together . Some new parts a lil port work to match a oem crank . Ima really fix her up once I get my drag bike done . Just as of now I'm get her running so its not another not running bike I have . Parents complain a lot when they see something that don't run . They don't see it as wow a cool bike . Wow it don't run another one . I hope you and your son make a build thread .

We got ours as a basket case, so might as well do it up a little bit lol nothing bigtime for now.
just a little better than stock for now, ported of course, but only bore .60 over so far.
we have a spare cylinder for when the .60 over is done in, its a CGR 275 pv , should make the trike interesting to ride lol

Not going to do a build thread, maybe just a few pics here.

Just wondering how you are going to modify the cylinder and head to accommodate the 4mm stroker crank? Think long and hard about what is going to happen to your port durations, timing, squish clearance and UCCR before you "slap her together"!

Yea that bike was a rolling chassis till someone borrowed my whole rearend and hasn't returned it yet . And I might have another 4wheeler rolling chassis if some one would return the front end . Lol

Nothings going to happen to any of that . Same exhaust transfer timing squish still the same no head work needed Lol. I build all my own motors. This isn't my first rodeo . The head is already modified . I've ported that cylinder already to match a +4 stroker . I set it aside because the money I sunk into it I could have bought 2 esr kits . I do all my own porting and motor work . Just shy of doing my own machine work .( come on bobizzle) lol. Sorry if I sounded like an ***. I just found humor in doing so .

Ok cool sounds like you have all set up for it then I thought somewhere you said it was going in a stock 310 cylinder. I'm always looking for ways to make more power a stroked seems like a good way to go!

I'm also doing a few mods to her . Yukon gears are one bore cases to fit a bigger bore cylinder . Few power mods .
