Iv decided to stay with my hmf slip on.....I bought a quiet core off ebay and was wondering how many db levels will it drop and do I need to re jet since im messing with exhaust? Thanks guys

shouldn need to rejet, i put one in my big gun and its fine.

i think i missed something.... you can take the HMF QC and put it in a big gun can?? What are the measurements??? i have a White Bros can and the insert is rotting away and i can not seem to find a new insert... now i'm wondering if i can use a QC like you guys...

looking foward to hearing how it sounds after also... i got a hmf at the end of last year and dont really ride my quad around my house any more because im sure my neighbors hate me! id like to drop it down a notch or two if it didnt sacrifice power

It'll bring it down a few db's for sure but it's still very loud. You may want to go down one size on the main jet also.

Alright thanks guys helps alot....ill for sure let you know how it sounds cause my neighbors hate me too iv been warned twice in a month to slow down but really its just the hmf so loud at low gear high rev haha

They say 3-6 dbs decrease on there site, thats not much for a 98+- exhaust.

mine dropped from ~102 db to about 97-98. this was measured using standard procedures, with an open airbox, and a 450r carburetor.

I have used my cousins quiet core for his Yoshi slip-on before in my HMF, works great and is REALLY quiet!
