handguards
skid plates (belly,swinger,a-arms optional)
suspension suspension suspension
then if you want more power you could do an engine build..416 with stage 2 hotcam, 11:1 wiesco piston, full cometic gaskets (metal layer ones) crf450 timing chain and i know im forgetting somthing in there.
but honestly suspension is the biggest part for XC. whats power if you cant get it to the ground and handle it?

I'd start by getting rid of the mudlite tires in favor of some lighter weight sport quad tires, something along the lines of Kendas or ITP Holeshot XC's.

I'd invest in a steering damper if you don't already have one. Then I'd look at some front shocks as it looks like you still have the factory pogo sticks. Even a set of basic fox floats will be much nicer for you and not blow the budget.

Just my suggestions

Most the guys on here get 450R stock front shocks off eBay and then send the rear shock off to GT Thunder to get re-valved and re-sprung for your riding style, weight, etc.

i need help with what bars plastic and seat cover and stuff like that

Leave the plastic that's on there, it looks fine, unless you want it to be all nice and shiny before you scratch it up in the woods. I'd go with either Tag or Pro Taper bars, CR High Bend or CR Double High Bend, depending on how high you like them, also get 1 1/8" bars with clamps unless you want to replace them everytime you wreck. And any gripper seat cover will do, they're all good from what I've heard. I got a factory effex one and it's great.

razr 2 fronts, razr 1 rears, or if you dont mind mixing and matching get razr 1 rears and GBC xrex fronts. <<that will save you about $70

Get the 450r shocks like the guys above said, and also get a CCP steering stabilizer.

There is a post below about it and everyone says it is amazing. I always thought they were overrated but im gonna get one now to see what all the fuss is about.

Get Cycra Handguards with the Full Wrap around bar ( My opinion) or powermadd makes a good set too.

You can get Flexx bars but they ARE HIGHLY overrated.
Many people have told me that regular oversized bars + precision bar clamps are much much better and you dont have to get +1 cables.

Just make sure if you decide to get the bar clamps you get bars that arent bent very far, because those bar clamps dont come apart, you have to slide them over the bars.

With these upgrades you will be able to keep up with any man on a 450 at a matched skill level.

suspensoin wise. Get either a pair of works shocks with rezzies. Thoes are gonna be your cheapest. Flexx bars are worth it to some and vice versa. Definatly buy a steering dampner. If your more a highly skilled A or Pro Am rider a precision stabilizer is what you want. But if your a weekend racer, a 11 way adjustable and rebuidlable Streamline stabilizer will do u fine. Powermadd handguards are good. And so are Cycra. just remember. If you do decide to get flexx bars. They require a special size hand guard. A Dual sprocket guard and a rotor guards helps a bit with ground clearance. And skid plates!! Since you will have a sprocket and rotor guard on. There is no need to run a swingarm guard. And buy a frame skid. Ac racing is cheap. Tires Are Either, GBC x rex or Maxxis Rzr 2 Fronts and Razr Rear(6 Ply) Backs.

i've heard stories of oversize bars bending steering stems...but i would definately use protapers or tag. 450r shocks sent to GTT will be AMAZING and close to many other high end shocks. plus this way you have custom shocks built exactly for you and your style! seat cover i'd use a gripper seat cover or just keep yours..i think a set of cycra handguards would look sick but if you wanna save some $$ check out the TUSK brand wrap around hand guards and even different nerfs if you want. i agree with pretty much all that has been said and if you want more torque you can put in a stg 1 hotcam or sparks X1. and also on a mild/stock engine i would reccomend the sparks +6 timing key (VERY CHEAP BUT BENEFICIAL) also choke removal with a 42 pilot jet. I did choke removal sparks key full big gun exhaust and a sparks timing key jetted 160/42 and the power is soooo much better. ZERO bog and better throttle response.

ive rode with gripper seats and i dont like them.

its hard to throw your butt over the seat when it comes to last chance decisions (happens alot on xc, like when your following a guy through a woods and he blasts a tree nd you have to pick a whole new line)

they also tend to gvie you MEGA weggies.

Ride!! The more the better. 2nd suspension. Better suspension = you can ride faster and longer without getting tried. I would highly recommend gt thunder for that. They do wonders for the 400! When you get your setup dialed in then add some more power.

^^yes! once you get your ridee as comfortable as you can get with your suspension bars and dampner get your self some performance mods

yep u need to be fit form me playin baseball i ride pretty easy, as for suspension go the cheap way and get some 450r shocks from ebay and send them to GT Thunder along with the rear shock and get them revalved and resprung with the GT Thunder XC link and you'll have one of the best suspension setups money can buy
