Chain Adjuster

im in the middle of my 88 250r resurection...I am putting on the chain and in my manual it shows a chain adjuster...But on the bike is has no chain adjuster and in my parts fiche it doesnt show I can buy one...Do I have to purchase a whole new carrier

the carrier is an eccentric, rotate it and it'll tighten or loosen the chain. should be holes in it by the sprocket
