I ate up a tree pretty hard with my left tire and A-arm yesterday during a race. I have 18.75 Triple Rate Custom Axis and Houser Slicast +1 A-arms. When I put my TRX450R on the stand today I noticed that the left A-Arm would not fully extend. It is about 3 inches above the right A-arm while the bike is on a stand. I took the bottom bolt off the left shock and the A-arm is not causing the problem. The shock looks to be straight and true. What could cause this? Maybe it leaked? The preset is the same on both shocks. Thanks.

Did you try physically pulling the shock shaft out?

It sounds like the shaft is bent to me. I would call Custom Axis or whomever services your shocks. I bent my left front tie rod into a C shape in the same race (first lap).

Thanks for the help. After cleaning up the bike I realized that I bent the frame in the front right behind the a-arm which bent my left front shock shaft. Ouch:(

I've done the exact same thing on two occasions. That's a very weak part of the frame.
