Hey Everybody,

I called Jettrim, and asked if they could do a hump seat for me. Kelly said sure, and sent me a drawing, and told me to pick out colors, and materials. I didn't go crazy, stuck with my color scheme. She told me there was around a week turnaround time, I told her that dune season doesn't start for another 3 months. Jettrim did it in 1day! Sent it on Tuesday, they got it on Wednesday, did it on Thursday, and got it back on Friday. I think it came out great.

Very nice! What is the cost on the complete install of the cover? Did you just send them a seat pan?

Thanks,
Dan

Dan,

Complete cost was $140, minus shipping of course. Shipping for me was $10 each way, I'm only in Tucson. Yes, I sent them my seat, they glue the hump onto your original foam. I am sure they have foam, if someone doesn't, but my foam was in great shape. I stayed with my color scheme, but the $140 is for 4 colors/styles. If you go on Jettrim's website they have every color under the sun. Also different materials beside carbon fibre - snakeskin, ostrich, plain vinyl, dicso glitter stuff, wild material, but I stayed with what my quad colors are. I was more than pleased with how they did it, let alone getting it back in a day. To me it was well worth it.

Scott

Awesome to hear, that is great turnaround time! Thanks again for the info! Do you have a build thread going on somewhere?

No actually I need to post some pics, but my quad is buried deep in my trailer, won't see action for 3 more months. I was very, very lucky. Last year I wasn't really looking for an R, but I found one out here that was a total restoration. '86, with +2 chrome arms, Laker carbon fibre plastic, chrome extended swinger, CT pipe, Hot Rod crank, IMS pegs, LSR stem, etc, every seal, every bolt, every nut, new. Stock motor. Even though the guy wanted alot, started at $5K, nobody was biting. I watched him keep lowering his price, till it became reasonable, then offered $2700. He took it. Everybody in Glamis tells me it is one on the nicest Rs they have ever seen. I tell everybody I bought it that way for $2700, they look at me like they want to kill me, LOL. I just bought Troybilts Axis shocks, had works on it. Soon as they come in, and I pull it out, I'll post pics.
