View Full Version : Need help deleting all wiring but CDI for 04 Predator 50

Hi, I'm looking for info on deleting all the wiring on a 04 Predator 50. I was told you could delete just about everything but the cdi and killswitch, I'm trying to eliminate as much headache as possible. I've had trouble with a few safety switches in the past and am tired of messing with it lol. I have already removed the battery. Any help is appreciated, along with info on what aftermarket killswitch works best. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the info. I'll take a look at the wires and figure this out since I think they're colored different then the instructions but I think I understand. So by wiring straight to the stator, does that completely eliminate all the extra switches in the harness or is there something in the cdi that could cause problems without them? Also, any idea what aftermarket killswitch works best with the Polaris? Thanks!

I'm going to try it this coming weekend, the only concern I had was with the switch that's inside the throttle housing. It's somehow tied into the ignition and I want it gone completely, I didn't know if there's any problems with the ignition once I remove all the wiring except what's needed for the stator and cdi?

Here's a few pics of what I'm dealing with, I have the two wires from the stator/cdi connected. I'm not sure exactly what to do with the others. Any help with which should be used for the coil and ground, killswitch, etc.?

According to the link above for G-Force, the orange cdi wire goes to the hot lead for the coil and the black goes to a ground along with the other black from the cdi which gets grounded. That covers all of the wires from the cdi EXCEPT the gray wire which I believe was tied into the switch that was in the thumb throttle. Anybody know what to do with this wire? Also, what to do with the remaining plug/wires from the stator? Anybody???
