will a 400ex rear shock work well on an 86' 250r?

Hey man i've done the opposite i put a 250r shock on my 400ex because i blew my works rear shock out, anyhow it say my quad way down and we had to do some fabricating to get the bushings to work right, but the r shock was was softer than the works i had on so i can't tell compared to the stock 400 shock...Let me know if i can help anymore Thanks

i dont think it will work unless there is some modding done. only the fronts are interchangeable
