I finally got the money to get my 400ex race built but it took everything i had. I'm still waiting on the air scoops to get here and ill be getting a pro armor bumper around Christmas. But here is some over time pictures of it right when i got it and where it's at now:

Thanks! Yeah i plan on getting a pro armor bumper and them air scoops on here. Then maybe getting some chrome parts to make it stand out alittle more. Then maybe a Gforce axle later this year or early next year. Ill need rear tires after a while though.

That thing is in AMAZING shape, and those TUSK nerfs will not do you wrong. They are awesome. Anything tusk is great if you can afford it.

Maybe a dumb question but what does a port and polish do?
And What is a port and polish? I havent really understood what they do in this process and how it gains you HP?

HondaPohl: yep, when I get the money I'm going to pick me a pair of 450r shocks up but it might not be awhile.

Ish416, they are on like that for maximum cornering and stability or atleast to one side. Haha I actually haven't noticed that until you pointed it out.. Will that do something if I keep then on like that?

Dxcody: thanks man, accept tusk needs to redo their directions and give me the right engine mount bolts to bolt the front on haha. And port and polishing makes it easier for the air and fuel to flow causing your power to go up a bit. It opens the engine up more I think.

and no it wont hurt anything running your front tires like that as far as i know.

I think they just put rotation directions for wear purposes.

Man you got a nice lookin 400 there. Looks like its in really good shape. I wanted to ask you what front tires are you running on it? My buddy has the same exact pair on his 400 that looked nice but I didn't bother asking him what brand they were or get around to looking for myself. Keep up the good work.

I know they are not stock tires on the front, but ill have to take a look what they are. My cousin just gave them too me because my other ones was bald. But thanks for the awesome compliments!

Your front tires are Pure Sport Bandits. They are what I have been running on my EX for almost 10 years and still have a lot of tread left. I recall the front tires being 1 directional, I would suggest mounting the tire the correct way for proper handling.

Nice quad btw. I would suggest getting new front shocks before you do anything else. It is amazing how completely crap the stock fronts are.

Yeah thats what they are. I knew it sounded like some animal but i couldnt recall the name of them. And alright, i will get on switching that tire around but it didnt seem like it affected anything at the moment. I had them on a good 5 months. But yeah im going to get 450r shocks sometime down the road but i dont need them just yet. And thanks!

if your doing mx extended a-arms and axle is a must. and shocks. if your doing xc, +1's or +2's are a good idea along with an extended axle. get a g-force, only $200 and lifetime warranty. id get rid of the stock bars to..

Yeah ill consider all that axle, a arms, shocks, and bars next summer because races are mostly done for this year where im at.
