Does anyone know,or could measure the size of the 450r shock shafts? I was wanting to know if they were bigger then 1/2 inch like the better name brand ones are. Thanks!

They're half inch shafts.

Thanks! Maby I'll just keep my Works triple rates then and finish rebuilding them since they are half inch too.

Although the 450R shocks use shim style damping pistons, where the Works shocks use check ball. I feel shim valving is superion. Shaft size really only influences change in reservoir volume/pressure, and to some extent shaft strength. I wouldn't discredit a shock because it is a 1/2 inch shaft rather than 3/4 inch.

You've been messing with those Works shocks for awhile, how are they coming?

I have all the new parts for them,I just have to send off the springs for powder coat, put them together, and get them charged up.I ran out of cash after finding a few good deals on a-arms,+1 1/4 swinger and an rpm axle so they had to wait lol.I also picked up a Works Ultra cross rear shock with adjustable compression and rebound for $125 so I couldn't pass that up either. A.A.D.S. kicked in pretty good there for a minute.
