bike wont start

I just replaced piston and ring in our polaris 90 2stroke. I got spark and its getting fuel because its running out the exhaust where it goes together underneath the bike( hetrick pipe). I installed the piston with the arrow up. Is this correct? need help we race this weekend

Thanks for the reply. I guess thats why I have gas pouring out of the exhaust.

Bike is running. High comp head makes a big difference. Thanks again
