transmission is notchy

Got my new motor running n in the bike but while test riding for the first time today I was having trouble with shifting tranny, every gear was extremely hard to shift through n notchy feeling at one point I couldn't make it up shift at all, any ideas of what to try or check?

are you sure of the installment of trust washers

Left one out the first time n went back through n installed it the second time so I'm pretty sure I got it right. I'm thinking something to do with the clutch side where the shifting mechanism is?

did you put that little top hat looking bushing the right way so it doesnt fall out?

I can't picture the bushing your talking about. Was it on the shifting mechanism? Or in the transmission?
