Does anyone know if the Hinson clutch cover listed in Tucker-Rocky's catalog (PN 26-9912) is same as the one on Hinson's website (PN H085BK)?

you cant put a clutch cover on a 400ex case unless u have a XR400 case then u can, but other wise theres no cover for it theres just the case

And then you gotta use an XR400 basket iirc or a hinson and you gotta fill the kickstart with something.

Does that Hinson clutch cover just replace the stock one? I thought it replaced it, but made it so you could just remove the cover like a 450R instead of the whole side of the case like a stock 400.

Hinson makes (or made) a complete cover for the 400ex that had the quick change cover. It was an XR400R right crank case cover and their clutch cover. They plugged the kickstart hole with a billet aluminum piece. It is $500+ I think.

I am running the XR400R right crankcase cover and clutch cover and I'm using the XR clutch basket cause my bike is kickstart. The 400ex basket sticks out a little more and there is interference between the clutch cover and the basket.

I love having the quick change cover (6 bolts and its off! and no oil loss!) but I don't think its worth $500+.

Just wanted to try and clarify this.

Well, that saved me some money. I thought it was a quick change cover. Guess I'll just stick with stock one until something goes wrong with it, which will be never most likely.

This is what I want. I have a Revloc clutch and requires a little more maintainance than the standard clutch.

I am glad to see that Hinson Racing still sells the removable clutch cover. I have an XR400 clutch cover already plugged and ready to go minus the wider clutch cover.

I don't think I'm ever gunna be able to get one though because I have my reverse cable go through the case right below the removable cover and it would have to be custom made to work.:(

http://www.hinsonracing.com/store/product.html?prod_id=793 O, I didn't even look on their site, I didn't think they made them anymore. $510 is insanely expensive, but if I ever have some extra money and can't think of anything else to buy(lol) I'll prolly pick one up.
