Well yesterday i was riding at my friends Motocross track and i hit this double cleared the first jump perfect then didnt turn good enough and went off the second jump sideways and my quad landed on my handlebars and bent the steering stem, so what is the best and cheapest aftermarket steering stem?

The stock ones are probably the cheapest, if your into ebay that might be the way to go...I got a Chrome Lonestar with clamp like new for 100.00 awhile back.

Yea, I'd prolly just get another OEM one until you have the money to get a good one. I was in the same boat a long time ago and I just kept buying OEM until I had the money, then I got a Houser +1 with Anti-Vib clamps with Tag T2 Bars and I have rolled 2 or 3 times and neither the bars or the stem budged at all. VERY good setup.

Oem bends, thats good. Aftermarkets dont bend to easy and guess what you bend then-the frame.

Just got a Leager stem with clamp and renthal bars for $70 shipped right out of the for sale section here on atvriders...

Get an anti vibe stem and you'll thank me. You're not going to bend your frame, you might bend/break bars but the rubber anti vibe takes impact from a crash as well as from riding.

Bending the bars will happen, but like I said since the stems made of chro-moly or similar rather than whatever cheap metalt hey use for the stock ones-you hit hard enough it can tweak the frame. not saying its like a 100% chance of happening, but its possible just like anything else.

You hope the bars and other parts of course bend first.

I can say the same about my pro tapers, they bent only very slightly when I really wrecked bad once. Still totally usable. my stem bends first and Im on #3 and need #4.

been at least 6 months with mine. The top of the tube is turned slightly to the right from rolling over on the bars. I dont let it bother me lol.

If you hit hard enough to tweek the frame with a good stem you have tweeked it with the stock stem too...

If they bent the frame every time they wrecked then every racer would use a stock stem to save their frames...

my frame is fine its not bent at all

And I highly doubt you would have bent it with a good quality aftermarket stem...

Buy a stock stem if you want... You can bend those from yanking on the handle bars enough to pull wheelies. They're weak.
