I bought some fox shox for my plus 3 long travels on my 400ex. With shox fully extended my tie rods hit the lower a arm, when I turn bars all the way left or right. Is this a problem or are they too long I don't think my old shocks did this I believe they were 19.5 or .75 and the fox ones are 20 or 20.25

Too long of a shock can cause this issue, and can also cause binding issues with the balljoints (which is a bigger issue than the tierods hitting). I would call the manufacturer of the arms, find out what the correct length is, and have the shocks shortened to match.
