Hello folks, I believe I'm gonna build a Mod using the Raptor as the base. I know I have to gussett the frame.
Tell me which manufacturer you would prefer for the suspension for the Raptor for motocross? I'd prefer it be real wide - similar to the stance of a JB chasis. I'd hate to spend my money on a set up and it stinks.

$1500.00 for a set of a-arms! That's just entirely too much money imo. For that price a mechanic should fly in and install them.....
Good Luck with that Mark. I'll look for something else.

Rocky

He did actually fly in and install them, and performed a minor surgery on my knee for the $1500. remember your post posed the question whose the best, not best bang for the buck. In that case take a look at the lonestar stuff, good product and value.

I have Roll Design on my main bike and JB on my Practice bike. Both really great but prefer the Rolls very nice A-Arm but very spendy.

Hey Rocky, we are running JB LT on Brandon's Raptor and he loves them, Jody has been really good to us also. Give Jody a call he can set you up.

After nearly 2 years of racing, a couple of hard crashes, these beauties are still perfect and the best on the market.

+4" +0.5" Slicast, together with 4:1 off-set wheels for perfectly balanced steering.

These A-arms are not just fabricated they are precision engineered with needle rollers and cup seals not standard plastic bushes. You can't get better. I just wish I could get paid for praising them!

good looking machine right there!
Who makes that swingarm and is it lighter than the stock one?
Do you guys know if the 450 hubs fit the 250 axel?

hwf-racing

Lonestar, a little heavier but it's a plus 1, not sure about hubs haven't had any issues with stock "YET" lol.

I would have to say Roberts Racing makes the best A-Arm and Swingarms,

Swingarms for $500 and a-arms for $700 or a package deal $1000 for both

I'd love to see what the Roberts stuff looks like. His stuff is top notch.

why get a new swing arm? if you are racing motocross then keep the stock set up

Allen Knowles from CT racing stands by his word that an extended swing arm on the 250 is pointless...Allen knows what he is talking about and I have seen first hand someone spend $$$$ on a +2 swing arm for racing and now it is sitting in the corner of the garage.

Get Fox shocks, ever since they came out they have won every major ATV championship...you can't beat that

I would go with Leager A-arms for the 250...don't spend 1500 on arms because the 250 is a small machine and doesn't need it, if you really want to improve handling get a precision stabilizer

When I had a 250, I just went with LSR arms and fox shocks and my quad actually handled better than the kid tha had 20K in his 250

Yeah, it's not wheelie prone so there is no need to spend money on a swing arm

I would never pay more than 600 for 250 a arms
