Hey guys,

Long time 400ex owner....and user of this forum.

I lucked out and scored a 08 KFX 450R from my dad recently. Gave it to me as a gift as he decided he was done riding. It has pretty low hours (i'd say less than 50 for sure). It's black. Bone stock.

In stock form, it's fun to ride as is. But, I'd like to wake it up. I've ridden a KFX before with just a intake/controller/HMF slip-on and was very impressed.

I've been looking at the products on the Hetrick site.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on:

DASA Racing Kawasaki KFX450 Exhaust System - Classic Version

$549.00

Dynojet Power Commander III

$339.00

Fuel Customs Kawasaki KFX450 06-10 Intake System (with air box)

$310.00

I'll probably stop my modding there.

Think these parts will go well together? Anything I'm missing?

Thanks!

Just stumbled on this pipe set up while browsing. Anyone running these?

the pc3, fuel intake, and pipe are know as the "big three" they will definitely go well together and wake that kawi up, A lot of people run the DASA pipe for the Kawi and they make good power, as for the dual pipe set up I have heard of people getting power while using them, and also that they are quiet, Not a race set up like the dasa,

Enjoy it! Also i recommend a 15t front sprocket. It really wakes the top end up.

So is 14 stock then for the front sprocket? I agree that she seems geared very short in stock form. Low top speed.

Ya stock is 14/38. I have 18 inch tires so i run 15/36. With the 15t it is night and day difference.

I bet it would make a big difference. My next trip here is to the Oregon dunes, so, I can use the low end. But, might try the 15 tooth after I get home for trails/track riding. Thanks!
