Does anybody make a greasable swingarm bolt with zerks? I found this link but its a few years old and it talks about a bolt on ebay. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-670920.html

i havent found one around for a long time but im sure they are still out there somewhere. you could make your own also if you want to and have a lathe/mill. 2 holes in it for the ports and thread the end of it and pump it in.

I just found this thread and is pretty much what I was looking for. I dont get what they mean by a set screw though? Is it just a screw they tapped on the left side of the bolt? http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=470008

Zerk on one side, set screw on the other. It works ok, its onlly gonna come outta the holes so much.

Much better off to remove the bolt and coat the hell out of it with anti-seize.

feels weird seeing someone else posting a pic of your hand on a forum. :p

Yes, I put zerks on both sides with two holes about 2.5" in from each end of the bolt. Don't know if it is the best method, but after 4 months the bolt came out like butter (?). :D

okay cool so zerks on both sides works good? I will probably do that. The only reason I am asking about this is because I think its time to take mine out. I have never had mine out and its a 2005. Plus when im on the bike and I rock it side to side it make popping and squeaking noises.

make sure you have a good half of a day to mess with it and dont get frustrated with it. sooner or later it will come out lol

Oh i know haha. I have heard the horror stories. I have been spraying WD on it for about 2 months now and im hoping it will come out somewhat easy.

Works good for me! Just make sure to drill the holes.

It also works well as far as keeping the busings lubed if you take and machine tiny grooves around around the opening where the grease comes out..

This is kinda off-topic, but I'd rather ask here than make a new thread. Does anyone know a torque spec for the swingarm bolt? I have a tendency to snap bolts off and strip things. Just wondering.
