Two of my best friends bought this chain at the begining of last race season and have not had it break yet. Someone told me an MX guy raced 137 races on this same chain.

Go 39T rear and 13T front IMO

Just find a Chain and Sprocket set, That has a D.I.D. Xring/Oring Chain thats the best chain there is, hands down.

Should be right about 94 links if I recall.

If anything get one longer and trim it down. Chain breakers a bit of extra money but nothing major (like 20 bucks or less). I just grind usually the links on mine off using a dremel, drill out the hole int he link a bit and attach the master.

14/38 will give you excellent bottom end if you have a 99-04 400, 05+ already uses that combo b/c the reverse trans has slightly different ratios. Sprockets are cheap, experiment. Larger you go up front means more speed, larger you go in the rear means more torque.

I run a 15/38 setup with a did x-ring chain-0 complaints. Im using JT steel sprockets too, dont bother with aluminum ones-they wont last.

Possibly, wouldnt take my word on it tho.

Remember for this race that you need a kill switch (just figured i would remind you if you dont already have one while your buying stuff.)

I know this is kinda expensive but you wont have to replace your chain for like 3 years man.

Like i said my buddies run that DID chain and i am pretty sure they havent even had to tighten them.

There is a reason they come stock on the 2010 YFZ450X Bill Ballance Ed.
