how wide should my axle be?

i just put house long travel +2.25 a-arms on my quad. Also got lonestar axle that goes up to +3.
How wide should i make it?

You want it to be slightly narrower in the rear than the front. This will help to prevent the front end from pushing in the corners.

You should be able to extend it to +3 and be fine.

I try to keep the rear around 49.5" give or take. I believe your +2.25" would put you around the same, give or take with your ride height.
