Yes, definately. That head gasket is easy to replace. If it runs good and what-not, I would say you got a great deal.

thanks. i started it for a few seconds just to make sure it ran. it was hard to start but i think its because it has bad compression due to the gasket being bad. i pulled the head today and the head looks good but one of the head studs is helicoiled but not done right so im taking it to the shop to get it fixed right and all new studs put in. oh yea whoever installed the last gasket coverd it in sylicone which could be another reason why it went out. thanks for any tips also found out its a 1987 not 89 dont know if thats a big deal or not

'87 was the fastest year for the lt250r, they had the bigger intake like the 'ZILLAS! $800 is a great deal seeing as how it only needs minor repairs. what else is done to it?

it has a fmf gold series fatty pipe with powercore sylencer, wiseco piston, nerf bars, it came with a brand new rear sprocket and chain uninstalled. the guy i bought it from said it has a hot rod crank and rod but im not shure cause i havent torn it down that far and i probably wont unless i need to.
