I have an 06 450r with a gt thunder mx link and back shock. But my problem is that i bottom my frame out all the time. What could be causing this? is it just somthing that i have not set up right or is the shock to short for the link? And also im looking for aftermarket rear shocks if anybody has any for sale. thanks.

So you had the shock redone by GT? I would say you dont have it set up right probably otherwise.

Call Laz, he can figure it out.

That would be why. You need to revalve/respring it in order for the link to work properly.

Almost all of the linkages out there state if you need a longer shock or not. Some of GTs require a longer shock.

^x2 Chances are the new leverage with the link is more than the shock can handle now. Call Laz for his input, but that's your issue.

Revalve/respring it.

What rear tires are you using, and can you measure their actual height? I have yellow label razors, and they actually measure 17" not 18, so mine would frame out also;however, I used an external spacer to prevent this. Also, have you raised your airbox, if not it's probably broken from hitting the swingarm?

What do you weigh? I agree the setup will work much better after being resprung and revalved.

The tires are 18s and the airbox isnt broken(yet.) Im going to call gt thunder as soon as i can and send my shock to them. Im thinking that is going to fix the whole problem.

If you're running an XC link with 18" tires, you will bottom out too.

You can run an MX link with 20's, but you can't the XC link with 18's.
