car will not run? 08 scion tc

i was going down the high way like 120 and it died when i shifted :P and now it will start but it dies in like 30 seconds.... someone said i may have hit the rev switch? whats that? lol it has a half tank :p so its not that...

Why were you shifting going 120? You would blow the engine in a Tc going that fast in 4th if it will even go that fast.

I never heard of a rev switch. That would mean whenever you red lined it, it would trip. Unless it only does it at a certain speed.

probably hit the limiter, it cut off the fuel and blammo shut off. Hold your foot to the floor when it cranks and see if it runs.

check wiring/plug to you maf sensor and your vacuum lines... might have blown one loose or blown apart..
or your ecu went to D.A. mode... :devil:

when it dies, is it like you turned the key off or does it lose rpm and die out?

There goes warranty haha.

I know on the old Jetta's, if you went over 100 or 120, it sent a signal to the computer to void the warranty.
