450R - Are the Trans oil & Engine oil seperate?

I just got a 2004 TRX450R

I was going to change the oil so I started re-searching the filter, oil, and process to change it.

I ran into a couple posts that said the "Engine Oil" and "Transmission oil" have two separate oil compartments.

I've never seen this before, I've always had 400ex's...Change the oil and filter and your done.

Does a 2004 TRX450R have 2 separate oil systems? One for the engine and one for the transmission?

I know this is a newb question but I don't want to do anything to cause my clutch to slip. (like using the wrong oil)

yes they have differant oil for engine and tranny

if u like honda stuff use the fully synthetic in engine and the tall red gear lube bottle for tranny
