Hey guys so i just recieved my Pro Armor XC nerfs. I need to install them on my 08 400ex. But theres a problem i removed he stock heel guards and theres some black thin tubing on the back that the screws on the heel guards were attached to. How do I remove that? Can you help me? Thanks :)

Remove that tubing and it should bolt right up.

I have the same quad and same nerfs and all i did was remove the heel gaurd and tubing, then the bolt through the a-arm, then the 2 bolts on the pegs, then i put the new bolt through the nerfs and a-arms, then put the bolt off the pegs through pegs and nerfs then bolted on, then put the little bolts through the flat peice of metal then put it through the middle peg hole then through the nerfs hole then the nut on that then tightened it all up

i made brackets from the tubing for a fender support

I left the stock support by cutting the piece in the way out of the way.

I hardly ever do anything like that my so called mechanic(dad) does it lol. I maintenance though any motor work or such he does.

Sent ya 2 pm's on how to do it the easiest way. Also if I was you I wouldn't leave the stock tubing on unless you just left the part on that connects close to the airbox and the rear fender support but that's just me. I made some custom aluminum supports at the shop. Il post pics when I can.

I had the same problem. cut that bracket just below the plastic so that you still have some fender support, otherwise the plastic will bend towards and burn on the exahust. also it acts as a spacer for the airbox brackets and the frame
