cylinder studs

I want to go with a JE 11:1 piston but I've heard that they blow gaskets because the stock cylinder studs pull out. Does anybody make better studs besides the Hetrick ones for $80(as in cheaper). Have any of you guys had this problem?

TC does but im not sure of the price. man i would just spend the 80 bucks. hell if ur gonna build up a motor might as well do it with the best parts u can

Well I have been over this subject more than once and $80.00 for $10.00 worth of hardware is criminal.

There has been talk in the past on machining larger holes and threads at a local machine shop and other little stuff like that.

I am not sure you will be needing them if you are around a "true" 11:1 comp though.

I see you were looking at the cylinder studs and I answered the head bolts? oh well.

I have been running a lot higher than 11:1 and have had no leaks on the stock stuff.
