View Full Version : broke clutch part...in need of a new one?

when tightning down the springs for the clutch one of the mounting tabs snapped off...do I need a new one now or can I jb weld it? Im assuming no

toss it and find a new one. clutch will never work without it and it cant be repaired.

about how much are they, and will a cr250 center piece work also?

not sure on the cr part but lots of on this forum sometimes have them for sale or maybe make a post looking for one and if not ebay is always an option. addictedtomud some times has clutch parts for sale and i have dealt with him and had good luck in the past. also wiseco, hinson racing and others all make new after market clutch centers. there are some centers and covers on ebay right now and also the complete clutch assembly also. little hint for removing the nut which holds the assembly on is weld an old screw driver to an old metal clutch plate and use it to back up the hub when removing the nut.

yea I went on my dealers parts fiche they said $97 though...but it listed 3 different part #'s for the same clutch center

And Honda5. How much you looking for and do you ship up to canada

If I'm not mistaken the cr inner hub is the same the clutch basket is different because of the different gear on it . Just make sure they are the same height and you might have to use the cr outer pressure plate .

I found 2 of them one is new in the package the other is in great shape (must only have a couple of hours on it. $60+ shipping on the new one $35+ shipping on the other.

I just spoke with the postoffice and they were quoting $14 but I didn't hav an exact weight. Let me know what you want to do and I'll do my best to help.
