Hey everybody, i've got a 426 that's been sitting on the back burner for months now. I have a small groove in the cylinder and i'm wondering if it's going to be ok to run build it back up with that groove.
i put a fresh 426 piston in it and rode for 4 hours until the cam sprocket popped off. i posted pictures of the damage awhile back. What i'm wondering is, with the groove in the cylinder do i need to be trying to bore it out again?
the piston is still good and the groove can really only be felt with a fingernail but i don't want to go to the trouble of putting it back together if that piston is not going to run right.
if i bore it a little can i still use my piston?
