Me and my family are looking to move out of California in about two years and are looking for a place back east. Were looking for a place that offers the following-

-Highschools with good sports programs
-A place thats central(ish) to racing on the eastern half of the united states(like the AMA ATV series)
-A place that doesnt get snow (or at least very much)
-A place where its relatively easy to buy a nice piece of property with land for a track, shop, ect.

We were thinking of something along the lines of florida, georgia, tennesse. Any opinions are appreciated.

land is not very cheap in Florida or Georgia.

Tennesse, kentucky or alabama would be good choices. Job are coming to these areas and they get very little snow. Land is also relatively cheap and lots of it.

so your family is just going to up and move and leave the jobs you have and hope to find something in a random state based on what others say? seems very risky, or is this a deal where money is not an issue

now that's funny. you couldn't pay me enough to live within 100 miles of atlanta.

The reason I said Ky, Tn and Al is because of the job market. Huntsville, Nashville and Clarksville/Hopkinsville have all bucked the system and continued to grow jobs during these bad times. Even though they are big towns they are easy to get around in and have that small town fill.

My wife and I are thinking about moving to Florida. Pros/cons of Florida? We are looking at the Destin/Ft. Walton beach area.

Stay away from Ms. There is no riding opportunities and no great places to go and vacation and not much on job opportunities. Tn is great up around nashville, it is some very nice land. Ga is a nice place too. I would live in either Ga, or North eastern Tn. I am from the memphis,tn area.

That's easy...

Southeast/Eastern TX somewhere. Land is cheap, people are great, gun laws are some of the best.....probably the best state in the US for football talent !
