throttle cable routing (450r carb)

hey guys, wondering how i should route my throttle cable, when i turn my handle bars to the right it revs the engine up. i currently have the cable between the fuel tank, and the white plastic fuel tank plate... cant figure out how else to route it with out modifying the plastic plate...

I'm just running my throttle cable the same way the stock was ran. Have about an extra 3" or so with the 450R cable.

I did have to cut a little bit from the heat shield under the gas tank but that was it.

how is the stock cable ran? ya my next step was notching the heat shield... thanks
