The story
My Brother Owned a 250EX and my Cuz Owned the 50th anniversary yfz. Cuz had the bike for less than a week, brother had his for about 2 months One day they were rideing in a Coal field by our house in W-B, PA they were just going around as fast as they could not really fallowing each other, they got on the same path heading toward eachother ( they had no idea they were on the same one ) they came around a bend in the trail and saw eachother about 3 quad lengts away from eachother they couldnt turn in time to avoid what was about to happen.

HEAD ON COLLISION Brother went flying off his quad over the handle bars of the YFZ and landed on the ground my cuz stayed on his quad but was bent over the handdle bars.

Some one across the street from where they were had been on the porch and saw the whole thing and called 911 brother had to be transported by ambulance to the hospital due to a gash in his arm the YFZ had the end snaped off of the break lever (can see in pic ) and his arm had hit it.

He had insurance on the Bike and it was totaled messed up A-arms and shocks

The scar it left, He lost feeling in the section that it happend needed 10 stiches to close up.

wow that looked like a nasty wound.

me and my brother did that several years ago, except we were on honda crf 150 dirt bikes, he was climbing up a hill climb out in the woods and I was coming down the same hill. when we realized what was about to happen we both changed paths but ended up hitting head on, I broke my collar bone but nothing happend to my brother.

Yeah def could of been alot worse, My brother doesnt have a good track record with quads he wrecked that one twise once a dirt bike lost controll and hit him head on when he was parked and then that incident,

Ouch I dont think I would be able to handdle breaking my coller bone, a broken wrist was bad enough for me.

been there before on my warrior except i was in the air and my friend was just sitting there sideways

Me and my friend did that same sorta thing too. I was riding his '06 450R and he was riding my 400. We were riding around a little track by his house kicking up alot of dust and we lost track of each other and before we knew it we hit head on at about 30 mph. He went flying over the bars but I had a death grip on mine and I didn't go anywhere. Nobody got hurt but we both ruined our a-arms, tie rods, spindles, rims, and the frame to top it off. Anyway, we got lucky we didn't break anything on us and it only hurt the quads.

i know the feeling when you leave the jump and hes sitting right in the middle, like a few seconds of oh s***. aside from quad damage i only destroyed a helmet and injured my knee

YFZ - Front bumper, one Shock bent other spring shot off, Both A-Arms bent, frame bent a little on front end, and a slightly bent rim
Insurance totaled and payed $5000 Had full coverage on it.

250EX - Rim Ripped off completely except for the shock, A-Arm destroyed, the part where the A-Arm connects to the frame ripped off, left peg bent up, Rim destroyed, Front bumper a little bent SOLD for $500 as is and bought a car. hes looking for a 400EX now
