will newer 400ex plastics fit an 01

I was wondering if anyone put the 05-whatever year 400ex plastics on an 01 400ex. i wanted to put the newer style plastics that were similar to 450r plastics

should fit without to much headach my 02 has 05 plastic bolted up. had to make two home made brackets from some flat stock i had laying around. but worked out good
