07 LTR 450 (will not start)

My son races Hare scrambles with his LTR 450. His quad performs well except for the fact that occasionally his quad cuts off without notice (No power to the dash lights, engine will not crank). I tested the battery and it is fully charged. The problem appears to be in the wiring, are there any common problems that I need to know about?

the wires in the harness for the key can come lose and cause problems.
