From the picture thats is Mild steel not black Iron. But your right it gets pretty heavy quick. I made a ramp like thats and after I got the wood on there it was heavy *** he11.

It's 2x2x1/4 Black Iron Angle. I know this because I work at a sheet metal shop and I personally ordered the supplies for the ramp:D

Hey jimmah, you racing the NEATV series this year.

Jimmah

I don't really race it I just show up for a couple events, mainly Jolly Roger's. I'm not really into the racing, I'm more of a freestyle guy. I don't know if I'll have the time or energy to go to some of the races this yr. My goal is to make it to this yr's freestyle show and to do that I'm gonna have to put in a good 15 hours of practice everyweek as soon as it gets nice out.

I like to learn trick for the races. I think I seen you up a jolly rodger in sept. Are you 110 or some thing.

Ya I was at the last race of the season for JR. I did pretty bad, it was my first time on a track with a 4 stroke and the bike was pretty stock.

sweet ramp. Where are u gonna put it? Do u own land to put it on? Are you gonna build the landing hill out of dirt?

Jimmah

I am just gonna put it on my street, I'm making a landing ramp after this ramp so that all I have to do is go out my driveway and I'm at the jump. The cars can go around it.:D

I am defintly going to build myself a ramp this spring/summer. I work at a shop were we build open steel trailers so i got the resources. I just need to figure out how to put a axle under it so i can move it around easily. Anyone have any ideas. I figure i will have the bottom like 2 feet fold up for towing. Anyone got any ideas?

ramps lookin good man! same dimensions as mine only a foot wider. cool!

Jimmah
02-22-2003, 06:47 PM
Jug: You might want to make it wider. My last ramp was 5' wide it was close. Like 4-5 inches on either side.

02-22-2003, 06:52 PM
how long is that ramp? how high ? 6 ft high 12 ft long correct?

i wanna build a rev 1 but i wanna get a cost estimate first, if u dont mind me asking how much do u think a 8 ft high 24 ft long ramp would cost to build?

Do somehting like this all you have to do is tilt it up and you can pull it down the road if your good at welding you can prolly fabricate a hitch to make it so that it will hold it at an anle and you can use a pin and hook it up to a truck hitch withoiut the ball. Like all farm tracotr/impliments. do that and it will be plenty easy to move. Just my .02 though

if u have a travtor with a bucket just take the front of ramp put it in bucket:bandit:

i've been using my ramp for a long time now..nearly a year! 5 feet is more than wide enough for me!
