He should be charged with attempted murder. Glad the cop is ok he seems like a great guy.

Still a dumb move on the cops part, I know he's try'in to do good but thats like the time I saw a statie try to tackle a kid off a 450R doing about 40 to 50 mph on a dirt road. You don't want to kill yourself to catch them.

^^ there was a case recently (Sykes vs US) where someone had a 3 strikes and your out (each strike had to be considered violent to count), one of the crimes was a vehicle chase. After he got his 3rd strike, he challenged that a car chase isn't violent. He lost the challenge. Thus precedence was set, any flight from a law enforcement officer is considered a violent felony. An officer is justified in using lethal force in any violent felony in progress.

Think about this before running from the cops, they are now legally allowed to shoot you dead just for running.
