well this makes me sad =( Did you bore/hone it? And what size piston? Was your motor stock before this? Did you make sure to get the right size piston? Who is working on your motor.. Gotta make sure you do it right before you get the pieces...

I did similar to the same thing as you. 11:1 piston, Stage 2 came. I had a machine shop bore my cylinder to the piston tho. (The clearance from piston to cylinder has got to be perfect or it wont last or worse lock up)Everything went together great. works well. make sure you get your carb jetted right also. I do suggest to run no less than 91 octane tho.

Another suggestion is to take your head in and make sure it is flat along with your jug and make sure your valves are sealing well. With 11:1 you have to have a good plat surface on both the head and jug or else you will blow head gaskets. Some people have went to the extent of putting in bigger head studs. I dont think its necessary to do with 11:1 i might be wrong. mine works just fine.

I dont know how much power your looking for but that setup made a big difference from stock. but i wanted a bit more. I put a Dynateck CDI and a pro circuit head pipe on mine with a 14 tooth front sprocket and that really woke it up. Very good combination of parts. My buddy has a kfx 450r Kawasaki and i can walk all over it now. Of course his is mostly stock. Night and day difference tho.

Eager to see how it turns out. keep us posted.

Ive been thinking about doing 11:1 stock bore with a stage 2 cam too.

what was the total for the top end stuff you bought?

For the gaskets, piston (with rings, clip, etc.), and a stage 2 cam it came to around 350 to 400 or so with shipping.

Sounds like a good plan. I would definitely look into a 450r carb... I got mine off ebay for under $100. It goes well with the cam... either way your gonna be happy!
