i dont think you will unless u want it, but it will be alright without it, the engine will be running hotter and at higher rpm's but you'll be alright, if u want it running cooler get a spal fan, bigger oil tank, or a bigger oil cooler, but i fu dont get em you still be fine

No you can run the hot cams on a stock jetted carb, 11-1.. The 450 carb is just a overall better carb, is bigger, allows more flow, a quicker throttle response, overall more top end power... Like said though a over sized oil tank is a good safety step.. The cooler you can keep the oil the better... Also if you go 11-1 you might want to think about getting head studs, as the stock studs tend to pull out, esp if you decide to over bore it.. Before I did a bottom end I would have the stock head worked if your looking for more comp and performance..
