no spark on a blaster?

i just put in a new top end and went to start it and had no spark i checked the butt connectors and they were all conected... i'm fixing it for this guy and belive it had spark b4 i did the work but i don't see how it could of done anything to the spark

my buddie lost spark when his flywheel bolt backed off and flywheel was free spinning

i didn't think it had a flywheel i thought it had a stator and a magneeto but if it does where is it? i have ripped 2 stroke engines apart and never saw one but hey mabe i'm wrong

Check ur grounds..When u took ur top end a wire may have came loose..Check by the Tors system on the carb that use to com off on my blaster all the time

i heard if u run low on oil it will shut off? is this true? and how much oil do you put in the motor?

TORS= Throttle Over Ride System On yamaha, in case carb goes to full throttle it will limit it. It is also used when the parking brake is used. Yamahas are know to have the stator go bad all the time.

yeah a buddy of mine has kinda like a shop going and he was fixing a blaster a couple months back and i think the problem was a bad stator.

Does it still have the oil pump on it, those go bad alot and u wont even notice it until it wont start and/or it locks up. If it has one i suggest you take it off put the block off kit on it and mix the gas like a regular 2-stoke quad/ dirtbike. It could also be the stator they go bad alot also.
