Right Rear Wheel Popping

I have noticed lately that when i turn to the left the back right wheel has a popping noise. Does this normally mean axle going out. This is on Sportsman 500

Usuall does,mine is popping now and has been for along time.My cv cover boot was tore when I got from previous owner so I knew the cv joint would probably go bad.You can get a rebuild kit or just buy the whole shaft with cvs and boots installed for just a little more on ebay(cv man)I just don't ever think to get one till I hear it pop! Hope that helps.

Sorry to mention some of the older year 500 sportsmans had u-joints instead of a CV joint.Mines a 2002 it has CVs I think older than '99 had U-joints but not positive?
