problems with buddies 06

okay ive been working on my buddys 06 er.he was riding it and it just sputtered and came to a stop, oil was fine. valves are fine. turns over, will run but runs like crap for lie ten seconds. changed the oil. valves are in spec. batterys charged. air filters clean. has spark but just dont run so what could it be?

Could be a number of things to troubleshoot. CHeck that all the intake tubes are on correct and tight. After that the next thing to do would be clean the carb, if that dont work out i would look into electrical. Valves wont necessarily make the motor miss just make it extremely hard to get started. Like i said it could be a number of things Between your dirty carburetor or at very worst case the rod baring could be starting to seize but i wouldnt jump to that conclusion without troubleshooting

definitely check the boot between the carb and engine to make sure it isn't torn anywhere...this was mentioned earlier but wanted to reiterate.
