ok all, i have jetted, jetted, and rejetted my 400. i had it nailed when i lived back in illinois and lived at 700 feet above sea level. now i live in colorado and at 5,000 feet above sea level.
last summer i did alot of riding at around 4,000-7,500 feet. but now this yr i have yet to ride below 8,000.

i had it set up pretty good last yr, but once again with the higher elevation i ride at i am lost.

i just can't seam to get it right this time, and i am hopeing that everyone that that has ever jetted for a ride ABOVE 8,000 feet pipe in and let me know what base line is. right now i am running a slip on, open box, k&N, one notch up on clip, 42 slow jet, 142 main, and 2 and a half on the fuel screw.

right now i am rich. plug tells me so.... it also bogs on up hill pulls and on a big load...ie running though a big puddle or mud pit, or full thottle blast. i am thinking i prob need to move the clip again but i just wanted to hear from some guys that have jetted for 10,000 feet.

lastly it runs good until 9500-10,000
