A cdi is a electric box that gives out spark to the coil and what not also it has a rev limeter whitch stops the motor from over reving in a high RPM range and by the way aftermarket CDIs are a waist of money :) its under the front plastic on the frame.

Should be, its a small plastic box with a rubber cover that has electrical plugs on it.

Dyna FS Programmable Igintion is good if you know what your doing. you can set the timming curve up how you want it. so it just depends on what you get , the one that are just the box it's self i have heard good and bad.

Ps. If some one has the Dyna FS Programmable Igintion 99-04 and dont like it ill buy it from you.

Do a search...once again some say they don't work an are a waste of money....some like me swear by the ones we have. I have a White Brothers CDI that is night an day over the stock, been using it for over 10 yrs.
