after u clean your air filter can u use regular motor oil to put on it afterwards? thats wat my gpa does,, but i want to do it the right way, its the stock filter.

get air filter oil. automotive will run to the bottom of the filter eventually

You can, that's what the Honda manual tells you to do.

But like ridehonda400ex said, motor oil will not cling to the filter as well as real foam air filter oil and will drain out a bit with time.

There's some real nice foam filter oils on the market. So far PJ1 foam filter treatment is my favorite.

my gpa has a Foreman 500 and thats wat he does, but i didnt want to get dirt in my filter since i got a new EX, plus i ride alot harder than he does

Bel Ray foam filter oil. simply the best!

Quite happy with the PJ1 spray filter oil, works very well and is easy to apply

Use Bel-Ray right now, but I like the No-Toil because of the easy cleaning. No-Toil can only be used with certain filters too.

well i just bought a K&N filter with a outerwears wrap, do i have to use there oil and cleaner or can i get a different brand like Pro Honda Filter Oil, or is that just for foam filters?
