Hey do any of you guys have any new exhaust stud nuts laying around that haven't been used? I need one for my brothers 400ex since one fell off while riding:eek: Let me know need it asap thanks!

I dont have any but can tell you they are like 3 bucks at a dealer/online.

Im pretty sure its a standard 10mm thread, could be 8mm tho and probably thread pitch 1.0 or 1.25 and any nut that size you can get at the hardware store and a washer will work.

its for me im his bro. yeah honda sucks and never has anything in stock. and wont till fri...service honda wants 10.00 shipping and i want the org. one, I dont wanna just use a reg nut just hate waiting another week!

I hear ya, originals always best..

FWIW I wound up breaking an exhaust stud off in the head awhile back and put a slightly larger bolt I made into a stud in after 3 helicoils failed. Then that bolt came out and I now run a 1/4" (or whatever metric size it is) stud I made with nothing but a regular nut and a lock washer. Hasnt failed for years lol.

hahaha, yeah as you know this bike is pretty frsh and this weekend was the first ride...alot needs checked up on but man i could not believe it just lossened up and fell off,lol

I can, they loosen up due to the heat expansion of metal. Everytime I put my header back on I tighten up those nuts like after 30 mins of riding.
