2011 AMA ATV Motocross Nationals #8 - Sunday Creek - Live ATV Race Coverage

This is the first time for the series to be racing at Sunday Creek and it is going to be an interesting one.

Can-Am/Motoworks' Chad Wienen is out for the season on injury and John Natalie will be riding with a broken arm.

Just to add a quick update...I spoke to Chad Wienen yesterday and he is in good spirits and feeling better and stronger everyday.

Jeremie Warnia, who took the ATVRiders.com fastest qualifier award is on hand for this round in place of Wienen.

Rain is falling and the track has become a muddy mess but that hasn't stopped Josh Upperman from grabbimg the holeshot.

live scoring updates slow, leads to low number of posts, no need for a bunch of useless comments, just race updates and results.

The Pro-Am races should be covered as well because those were some of the best races that I've ever seen! Rastrelli, Madl, and Martin were in a heated battle the entire race that I seen. 1 mistake and you got shuffled from 1st to 3rd.

Get bumped one time and causes the quad to stall and go from 2nd to last.

Pro Am has been hot for the past few years, always a blast to watch.

Find a company to cover my expenses and I will gladly stay another day, I just cant afford to stay on the road for no paycheck

We will have a Pro Am report up tomorrow I presume, we still do that but just cant swing both days at every round.

Lisa does a great job posting the coverage and writing the race reports. This being a holiday weekend I figured it wouldnt get much in the way of action (coverage thread), but we do it nonetheless!

Even if they paid me to be there on sunday, it would be very doubtfull we could swing live coverage for Pro Am. It surely isnt because we dont want to, I reckon it to college ball, to me, its always better competition!

Chad broke his back on Friday, June 24 while practicing at his track. He had surgery on Saturday morning to put rods in his back to keep everything aligned. I believe he is home now.

Natalie's horse barn caught fire & was trying to get the horses out of the barn. He was kicked in the arm by a horse which broke it. He raced Saturday &actually didn't look all that bad, but could tell he wasn't riding like the Ironman does.

WOW, what is Chad's condition??? I'm asking if he's going to recover or be wheelchair bound??? This is terrible news.......

Sounds like Natalie is just a freaking monster lol, riding with a broken arm.......damn!!!! Glad he is going to be ok.

Chad is doing well, he WALKED out of the hospital. Expecting a full recovery.

Natalie is just Natalie.....thats why they call him "Ironman"
