Well, today I received a call about someone wanting to show up to buy my EX. Long story short, I got $2800.00 cash. But I feel like I betrayed my best friend :(

When the guy test drove it he rode a wheelie down the road for all 5 gears then came back and said it 'pulled real hard.' I was installing a SPAL fan when he came over, and I gave him the fan with the purchase while pleading he install it on the quad. He didn't really seem interested.

He says he will ride in it the races at the fair this Thursday. I don't know if I should go watch or not. I'm almost positive I will see it on craigslist for $500 here before long.

Anyway, here's to an old friend.

When I got it:

We shall all now bow our heads, for a moment of silence.
May it race hard, and live long.

Mark has the best idea yet!

But flyboy1294, you won't be dissapointed.. Your R is a clean piece of machinery too ;)

You'll be used to it in under a month.. and then you won't be missing your ol' girl. Though they are fun to bust through the trails, they won't be winning very many races these days

haha I can't let go of my 426 either :blah: I'm lucky to have both, and a 250r. My theory: different bike for a different mood

I like the 450R a lot so far. Liquid cooling is the bomb. And I like the kickstart as compared to a battery.

I here ya man, when I had the R I was redoing my 400 that I bought brand new in 2000.. I had it all tore down, it sat for many years tore apart.. Once it was back together I thought I could sell it to recoup some of my money from buying the R. After riding the ex again, it just felt better, so I offed the R... I duno if i will ever the the ex, just keep the old thing around..
