Stupid question. But what's the gains from a after market clutch basket.

I believe its strength mostly. It wont explode and send pieces of metal through your crankcase.

It will help with the heat trans. but the stock one will hold up to more power than you will make on just motor.

Trust me i have been down this road be for. you will only make at best 43 to 45 hp on motor if your lucky and thats with a big build.

Most make around 37 to 39 hp with big builds. We make 64.72 hp on motor + nos and im still running a stock basket, stock innter hub and pressure plate. Run stock fibers but use after market steels and springs. and it will hold up to any thing you can through at it.

aftermarket baskets will not groove nearly as easily either, which can multiply the effort required to engage/disengage.

The stock clutch with an AVS lever is pretty sweet. The stock clutch has held up fine in my built 416. I’ve seen guy’s put Hinson clutches in there 450’s and they had problems with them. I think the stock one is fine for the EX.
