help help trx 450r wont start

tried different ignition, coil, spark plug, plug cap. does not seem to be firing when i kick. fan turns when im kicking. please help any ideas?????

do you have spark? does it run is push started?

what year? have you done any mods since it ran? when did it stop running? have you done anything that would make it not run? wire harness or carb ?....

for a good answer you have to ask a good question with every detail you can think of

with your question we have no idea of were to start

could be a fuel issue or a motor issue or a electric issue, but without more details everything would be a wild guess

not sure if i have spark. didnt try pushing yet. bike started earlier on today but went really bad, backfiring alot would not rev. took off ignition sprayed with wd40 put back on bike went great, then came back in took ignition off again to let dry out and went for dinner and bike will not start since then.

2006 no mods since last time it was out went great then.

do you know how to check the stator and coils for resistance?

when was the last time you adjusted your valves?

Not sure if the 06's have the hot start cable but I had the same symptoms on my 05 and it was my hot start cable that had frozen wide open. I soaked it over night in liquid wrench and it was good as new.

valves were set about a month ago. will look at hot start tonight but i think its ok the lever fo it is still moving fine

got the problem at last. one small broken wire. bike going great again. thanks for the reply's.
